Controlled Effect Police Projectile

Unique bullet for service and training ammunition. CEPP is destined to become the first choice of police forces and internal security organisations worldwide. CEPP has been developed by Lapua together with internal security experts of various international units. Law enforcement organisations in several countries have already qualified the CEPP for their service ammunition. CEPP is the FMJ bullet which performes like a soft point bullet.

CEPP ammunition is designed for use with pistols in calibers 9mm, .38 Special and .357 Magnum and with machine guns in caliber 9mm. The three different versions produced are: CEPP Super, CEPP Extra and CEPP Extra Subsonic.

Functioning
CEPP was tested amongst others with perfect working condition in Sig Sauer pistols and H&K MP5 in temperatures between -40 ° and +40°C. CEPP preserves its functioning abilities after immersion in a compound of gun oil (50%) and water (50%) for a period of at least six days.

Penetration capability
All CEPP bullets penetrate ballistic soap, gelatine, car doors and windows in a straight line maintaining the original direction without tumbling. CEPP bullets will pierce soft media (wood, tissue) even when shot at an angle of 15° degree only.

Shot at 1,5 mm steelplates (hardness 37 kp/mm) separated by 10 mm spaces from eachother, CEPP Super penetrates two plates. SEPP Super also penetrates a car door, continues straight ahead without losing its capability to penetrate soft targets.

Technical data
Upon request the cartridge can be protected with laquer around the primer and case mouth as well as inside the case mouth.
Cartridge case: material Brass (CuZn 28).
